It provides clear operational advantages to naval ship designers, engineers and end-user including:

High weight to volume ratio.

Supplied in a range of carefully controlled densities from 1.5 – 5.0 tonnes per cubic metre.

Non-magnetic option up to 5.0 tonnes per cubic meter for mine countermeasure scenarios and applications.

Low volume requirements offer greater design flexibility and maximise usable space within the vessel.

Allows precise placement of ballast with minimal access requirements, for improved flexibility and speed within production schedules, stability trials, and operational needs.

Available as a non-stiffened, semi -stiffened or fully stiffened product. The fully stiffened version is recognised as permanent and does not require removal for mandatory inspections. Both the non-stiffened and lightly stiffened products can be removed, offering a versatile temporary ballast solution.

Non-corrosive with pH 12, protects steel surfaces from condensation and corrosion.

Excellent sound damping properties.

Prevents vibration in immediate surface contact area.

Non-flammable and non-toxic making it safer to install and does not support the growth of micro-organisms can also be recycled as granular material at end of use.

Stable and provides added impact resistance.

Proven record of use in a range of applications.

A fit and forget ballast solution no maintenance needed.

Produced and installed by our experienced team, throughout the UK and Europe to suit client requirements.
